NORMA JEAN (GRAEBER) DOGGETT

Norma Jean Doggett, 71, of Ankeny, died Tuesday, March 21, at Kavanagh House on 56th. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at McLaren's Chapel - 801 19th Street - West Des Moines.

Norma was born on August 8, 1934 in Des Moines to Kenneth Clarence and Bonita Ruth (Turpin) Graeber. She received her education from Des Moines North in January, 1953. Norma married Ted Doggett in September of 1952 in Des Moines. She was employed by Bell Telephone/ Qwest for 32 years as an accounting clerk until her retirement in 1989. Norma was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and was active in the Highland Park Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Norma is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ted Doggett, of Ankeny; son, Dan Doggett (Linda) of Ft. Dodge; and two granddaughters, Lindsey Doggett of Ames and Chelsea Doggett of Iowa City. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McLaren's Chapel. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Norma's name to Kavanagh on 56th - 900 56th Street - Des Moines, IA 50311.
