At Iowa State Fair School Exhibit, North High won highest prize money.
Two of the finest tennis courts in the city are maintained at North High.

Most of us remember Davidson's on the corner of 7th and Walnut, but we do not have the 1911 point of reference the ad to the right details. In 1911, $75 was a huge amount of money to spend on a popular "invention."
